Created the "Round-Up" initiative as chairman of the Cullman Jefferson Gas board in conjunction with area mayors and board members which created consistent funding for The Link of Cullman County and Wellstone Behavioral Health. (previously Cullman Area Mental Health Authority)

Developed the "New Start Program," which functioned as a safe haven for transient and permanent homeless persons in our community. This was created in conjunction with the Cullman City Council, The Link of Cullman County, and the Wellstone Behavioral Health. (previously Cullman Area Mental Health Authority)

Assisted in establishing local incentives for big-box retail development, industrial recruits world-wide, and the façade improvement program after the tornadoes in 2011

Helped research and author conservative legislation dealing with alcohol sales, licensing, and revenue for the first time in over 70 years since Cullman had legal alcohol sales

Navigated the City Budget as City Council President through the Great Recession, ultimately obtaining a higher bond rating

Lobbied for the successful creation of the largest timber framed structure in Alabama that currently houses Cullman County Farmers Market
