FUNDING & IMPROVEMENTS

𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭!
State Sen. Garlan Gudger (R - Cullman) recently presented a $12,000 check to the town of Berlin to help with construction of a new Farmer's Market.

$𝟐𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥!
About 18 months ago, Dr. Robin Netherton, principal of Vinemont High School asked the Cullman Legislative Delegation if we could locate funding to help Vinemont School build an indoor baseball batting practice facility.

𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭!
These men and women volunteer their time to help their neighbors as they respond to medical and fire emergencies! Their work also reduces property insurance in their area.

A new Wallace State facility is now available in Arley, Alabama to serve the people of Winston County!

$𝟏 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭!
I have worked closely with the Marion County Commission and we have been working together over a year with the Marion County Water Authority to successfully secure approval of this $1 million grant for the Marion County Water Authority to expand their rural water system service to new customers.

𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐲𝐚𝐫𝐝- 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐲𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝟏𝟐.
Today, I joined Representative Tim Wadsworth in delivering a $15,000 sponsorship check to Garrison Gives Hope. These funds will go toward Emergency Relief Trailers that the Cullman County EMA will use during natural disasters and life‑threatening emergencies throughout Cullman County and the surrounding areas.

The first day of school is always exciting! I’m especially excited on this first day of school to present an extra $1 million in state funds to Dr. Shane Barnette and the school board!

It’s exciting to continue funding presentations to our high school bands!

I’m very thankful to Governor Kay Ivey and ADECA Director Kenneth Boswell for approving $500,000 to improve and upgrade our 54-year-old Lions Club Park right here in Cullman.

Supporting Our High School Bands!
Today, we kicked off something we’re really excited about—every high school band in Senate District 4 will be receiving $5,000 in funding!

I want to once again thank Governor Kay Ivey and ADECA (Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs) Director Kenneth Boswell for approving state funding for a project in my Senate District!

I am pleased to report $680,000 from the state is now available to the town of Holly Pond to upgrade their wastewater system!

Hackleburg High School Baseball Team received their State Championship rings yesterday at the school pep rally!

Congratulations to the mayor and council, officials and citizens of Lynn, Alabama on the ribbon-cutting at their beautiful new community center!

We all appreciate the work by the staff and volunteers of Pilot Light in Cullman, which is a home for abused neglected children.

Monday (9-8-25) we visited 15 high schools across three counties presenting $5,000 checks to every high school band in our Senate district.

I know firsthand how important “search and rescue” is for first responders in the Smith Lake area.

𝐖𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐤 & 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬!
This week we want to highlight two of the 15 schools in our Senate district we visited on Monday to present $5,000 checks to each!
