About 18 months ago, Dr. Robin Netherton, principal of Vinemont High School asked the Cullman Legislative Delegation if we could locate funding to help Vinemont School build an indoor baseball batting practice facility.

A new Wallace State facility is now available in Arley, Alabama to serve the people of Winston County!

I have worked closely with the Marion County Commission and we have been working together over a year with the Marion County Water Authority to successfully secure approval of this $1 million grant for the Marion County Water Authority to expand their rural water system service to new customers.

Today, I joined Representative Tim Wadsworth in delivering a $15,000 sponsorship check to Garrison Gives Hope. These funds will go toward Emergency Relief Trailers that the Cullman County EMA will use during natural disasters and lifeโthreatening emergencies throughout Cullman County and the surrounding areas.

The first day of school is always exciting! I’m especially excited on this first day of school to present an extra $1 million in state funds to Dr. Shane Barnette and the school board!

Our volunteer fire departments are very important to our communities. We obviously know the importance when we make an emergency call for medical or fire response.
